do i have to pay customs tax?

Potentially...

All joebloe international shipments are DDU, which stands for Delivery Duties Unpaid. This means that you have to pay any potential duties or charges due. Many joebloe parcels won’t require import duty payments because they’ll fall under the country’s low-value threshold (fun fact: the technical term for this is called ‘de minimus’).

For example, the low-value threshold in the U.S. is currently set at $800 U.S. (approximately $1000 AUD), but for Germany, it’s 22 EURO (approximately $33 AUD). So, it depends on the destination country.

If duties do need to be paid, the local postal or customs authority for that country will most likely get in touch with you to organise payment, though we are yet to see this be the case.
